Installation Guide
License Requirement: This plugin requires a valid license for full functionality. The plugin will work on localhost without a license for testing purposes.
Installation Methods
Method 1: WordPress Admin Dashboard
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
- Navigate to Plugins → Add New
- Click “Upload Plugin” button
- Choose the plugin zip file and click “Install Now”
- After installation, click “Activate Plugin”
Method 2: FTP Upload
- Extract the plugin zip file
- Upload the phone-consultation folder to
/wp-content/plugins/directory - Go to WordPress admin → Plugins
- Find “Phone Consultation” and click “Activate”
Post-Installation Steps
- Verify Activation: Look for the “Consultation” menu item in your WordPress admin sidebar
- License Activation: If you have a license, enter it in the license settings
- Access Settings: Go to WordPress admin → Consultation → Settings
- Configure Form Fields: Enable and configure the form fields you want to use:
- Full Name
- Website Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Consultation Topic
- Description
- Customize Button: Set up your consultation button position, colors, and text
- Configure Popup: Customize the popup appearance, colors, logo, and content
- Test Frontend: Visit your site to see the floating consultation button
Installation Complete! The plugin will automatically display a floating consultation button on all pages of your website. Visitors can click it to open the consultation request form.
Initial Configuration
Required Settings
- Form Fields: Enable at least one form field for the plugin to work
- Button Text: Customize the text that appears above the consultation button
- Popup Title: Set the main title that appears in the consultation popup
Optional Settings
- Logo: Upload a logo to display in the consultation popup
- Custom Content: Add custom text or HTML content to the popup
- Colors: Customize button and popup colors to match your brand
- Field Order: Arrange form fields in your preferred order
Troubleshooting Installation
Plugin doesn’t activate: Check that your WordPress version is compatible
No menu item appears: Ensure you have admin privileges and the plugin is activated
Button doesn’t show: Check that at least one form field is enabled in settings
License issues: Contact support if you have problems with license activation
What’s Next?
After installation, you can:
- View consultation requests in Consultation → Requests List
- Customize all settings in Consultation → Settings
- Monitor visitor interactions and follow up on requests
- Export request data for CRM integration
