Customer Experience

This section explains how customers interact with the WooCommerce Auto Comments plugin from their perspective, providing a complete walkthrough of the user experience.

Customer Journey Flow

1

Customer Makes a Purchase

Customer completes an order on your WooCommerce store. The order must reach one of the configured statuses (e.g., “Completed” or “Processing”) for the plugin to recognize it.

Customer sees: Normal checkout and order confirmation process – no changes to the purchasing experience.
2

Customer Visits My Account Page

Customer logs into their account and navigates to the My Account page. The plugin automatically detects products they’ve purchased but haven’t reviewed.

Customer sees: An eye-catching colored banner at the top of the page (or in a separate tab) encouraging them to leave reviews.
3

Comment Form Appears

The plugin displays a collapsible comment form with customized text and styling. Only products that haven’t been reviewed are shown.

Customer sees:

  • Main title (e.g., “Please support us by submitting your valuable comment”)
  • Optional subtitle and description
  • List of unreviewed products with “Write a Comment” buttons

4

Customer Clicks “Write a Comment”

When clicking the button next to a product name, an individual comment form expands for that specific product.

Customer sees:

  • Text area for entering their review
  • Placeholder text (if configured)
  • Submit button (customizable text and color)
  • Cancel button (customizable text and color)

5

Customer Writes and Submits Review

Customer types their review in the text area and clicks the submit button. The form uses AJAX for smooth submission without page reload.

Customer sees:

  • Loading message: “Submitting comment…”
  • Success message: “Your comment has been submitted successfully”
  • The form for that product disappears after successful submission

6

Form Updates Automatically

After submitting a review, that product’s form disappears. If all products have been reviewed, the entire comment section is removed.

Customer sees: Clean interface showing only remaining unreviewed products, or complete removal if all products are reviewed.

Common Customer Questions

“Why don’t I see all my purchases?”
Only products from orders with specific statuses (configured by admin) appear in the list.

“Where do my reviews appear?”
Reviews appear on the product pages after admin approval, just like regular WooCommerce reviews.

“Can I edit my review after submitting?”
The plugin doesn’t provide editing functionality – customers would need to contact the store admin.

“Why did the form disappear?”
Forms disappear after successful submission or if there are no eligible products to review.
